New version of cfbstats.com

July 31st, 2007

Welcome to the new and improved (hopefully) cfbstats.com. The site looks somewhat like it did before, but the structure has changed with the intent of making it easier to navigate around the site.

Every page of the site has a “You are here” line at the top which shows your location in the hierarchy of the site. This should give you a better feel for how the site is layed out and make it easier to find what you’re looking for. In addition, many of the statistics that were crowded onto one page in the old layout are now on separate pages, linked to each other so the statistics are still nearby. Another benefit of the new layout is that it gives room to expand with more information. The structure of the old site was too limiting, but new statistics should now be able to fit right in.

Finally, I’ve added a blog (you’re reading the first entry) to the front page of the site. Now I can easily announce each week during the season when the site has been updated with the latest statistics. I can also announce significant changes to the website, like when new types of statistics are added.

I hope you enjoy the new website!
